What's more annoying than a generic high school comedy? A high school comedy that had the potential to be more, but chose to be mediocre anyway. Thanks to tone-deaf direction and a wavering script, Beth Cooper hints at a few unique ideas and goes nowhere with them, settling instead for the dopey genre cliches it seemed obligated to maintain.
