Review of I Know Who Killed Me (2007) by Tofic R — 24 Jan 2012
While this is classified as a suspense/thriller film, 'I Know Who Killed Me', as I would like to think, is a horror flick that features blood and made audiences go "Eeewww!" Aubrey Fleming is abducted and tortured by a serial killer, so when she manages to escape, the traumatized girl ends up in the hospital and insists that she is not Aubrey. She's actually Dakota Moss, and she insists that the real Aubrey is still in fatal danger.
Though most critics would dislike her acting in the film, I actually think that Lindsay Lohan's role in horror scenes were worth great. Playing separated twin sisters - one a bright student, and the other a pole dancer - made "I Know Who Killed Me" look like 'The Parent Trap' gone "Hostel". As this is a serious film, this is definitely not the silly teen action previously seen in Lindsay's earlier works and a turning point for her acting career. When I saw this film, I noticed the filming location for the school scenes were in Glendora, California, where I had attended classes there (and that's no lie).
The sad irony for 'I Know Who Killed Me' was that while it was released on July 27, 2007, Lindsay was arrested on a DUI charge that led her into rehab treatment for months. The result? The film opened with a weak $3 million in the box office. Anyways, let's forget all this celebrity gossip, and I'm sure that La Lohan learned her life lessons both in and out of the movie set.
