Review of I ♥ Huckabees (2004) by Jacqui S — 16 Mar 2010
This gets funnier every time I watch it. I was thinking about this movie in the car today and re-living some of the scenes in my head. I just love Jude Law's 'Brad' character, and his inane banter about Shania Twain and the tunafish sandwiches.
Why the hell do Americans call it tunafish when everybody already knows that tuna is obviously a fish? You don't say 'chickenbird', do you? Ah, stupid Americans. This film portrays them so well.
Probably the secret to why this film works so well is that all the quintessentially American corporate fools are played by Aussies and Brits, with Law's performance as mentioned above, and Naomi Watts and Isla Fisher as the beautiful and dippy "Huckabees" girls.
Ahhhh. I think I'm about ready to watch it again for the 20th time. Even the DVD menu is funny as it repeats itself over and over again Wait. What does that even mean?
