Review of I ♥ Huckabees (2004) by Steve S — 15 May 2010
As brilliant as the idea of a comedy exploring existentialism, the entire film seems to have been made with no consideration to things like, say, focus, or plot. I would have been happy if the characters spoke like normal people do.
Perhaps it a meeningless coincidence that David O Russel followed up his awe inspiring gulf war film Three Kings with this mess. Well shot though, and Jon Brion's score is wonderfull as usual.
