I saw this movie during the Screening Tour and was skeptical of how the hilarity captured through Tucker's writing transferred to the screen. I was pleasantly surprised, as I have not laughed that hard at a movie in quite some time.
The jokes and dialogue are real and believable and it didn't rely on ridiculous situations like The Hangover did for laughs. By the way, I am a female, went to see this movie with four other women and they all loved it as well.
