Somewhere under all the misogynist, offensive jokes, and shit (literally) is a movie with a heart. It's just too hard to find through all the hypocrisy and flat out unfunny jokes. This was one book not really in need of a film adaptation and it's "message" doesn't translate well to film.

I didn't loathe this film but I can sure see alot of people feeling that way. The lead is so unlikable that we almost hope the inevitable redemption doesnt occur. In the end it just turns into one of those movies that spends the whole time telling one kinf of joke just to tell you at the end it was wrong to laugh at them.

Quite dissapointing...read the book.
