Having been a big fan of the book and Tucker Max's work as a whole, I was definitely looking forward to this movie. It's not great, with some poor acting (especially from the minor actors) and a storyline that tries a little to hard (and fails) to be deeper and more serious than Max's writing.
On the positive side, the main characters all do a good job. There are plenty of laughs to be had throughout the film and some seriously great one-liners. If you don't go into the film expecting too much, you'll enjoy it like I did.
