First off let's just get this out of the way. I know how some people have compared this movie to "The Hangover" and I can understand why but it's definitely a different movie, just some basic similarities. I understand that's why this movie has been getting bad reviews at its attempt to be "The Hangover" or what have you. Go into this movie not even thinking about "The Hangover.".

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell is the adaptation of the book by the overnight sensation Tucker Max. Tucker Max (Matt Czuchry) is best friends with Dan (Geoff Stults). Dan is getting married and Tucker wants to have a little fun so he decides that Dan, Drew (Jesse Bradford- Swimfan), and himself should go to Salem to a stripclub that is suppose to be an amazing time.

On the way to the stripclub they stop at a dive bar, get directed to another bar and the night just begins. Cocky Tucker goes in firing on all cylinders as the guys converse with a bachlorette party. The newly single Drew is being a party pooper as he recently just caught his girlfriend blowing Paul Wall.

At the stripclub Tucker and Dan meet a striper who is busting on Drew. The two end up hitting it off and Drew learns a little bit about himself as a person.

Dan ends up getting completely trashed at the stripclub. His fiance finds out that the guys lied about where they were going and were in fact in Salem at the strip club. Gets thrown out of the club, and then starts pissing behind a dumpster and gets arrested by the cops. He looks like complete hell and tries calling Tucker and Drew. Tucker is busy with a girl (learn the identity later and will cry laughing) and Drew is with the stripper.

Tucker learns by shitting himself one night as he tries and picks up a married women played by Traci Lords that he has not been the best of friend that Dan deserves. Tucker is not invited to the wedding, and he comes anyways to apologize and in hoping that his friends forgive him for his selfish ways.

This movie provides tons of laughs, memorable one liners and just a ton of fun. Do not go into this movie hating on Tucker Max or just getting an impression that you read about him. The movie delivers and is just pure fun. Go with no expectations to the theater and I promise you that you will not be disappointed. Big thumbs up!
