A gloopy TV movie score and a Nicole Kidman voiceover suggest we're in for genteel, lachrymose hagiography, of a sort better suited to a museum auditorium than it is to a cinema. In fact, the film hits its stride with its depiction of the lengths Wiesenthal went to bring errant Nazis to justice, embarking upon a series of case studies told in pacy, punchy fashion.
