Review of I Give It a Year (2013) by Norman F — 21 Jun 2013
Some truly funny set pieces don't really rescue a middling romcom, which for all of its stress on its 'original' idea, is rather formulaic. Simon Baker's character relies heavily on a machismo only charming because of the hunk it's housed in, whilst Raff Spall's Josh is only given one line in the entire film to show that underneath the 12 year old boy there is the mind of a serious intellectual.
