Review of I, Frankenstein (2014) by Todd P — 21 May 2014
I, Frankenstein was exactly what I wanted it to be, and perhaps even a little bit more. While I did enjoy this film, I do have to admit that it is basically crap, but it's enjoyable crap, the kind of film you see once, and then completely forget about.
There were good performances across the board (especially from Miranda Otto as the gargoyle queen), and there are a few memorable action sequences. I was also a fan of the way they expanded upon the Frankenstein story, even if it would've had Mary Shelley turning in her grave.
Big, fun, and stupid, I, Frankenstein ticked all the right boxes for a mindless action film.
