Review of I Don't Know How She Does It (2011) by Jamie K — 26 Sep 2011
I went to see the movie last nite with a girlfriend. We wanted to be amused, energized and uplifted with a good story, good directing and good acting. First I would blame the director for making the actors deliver their lines in a seriously unfunny way.
The acting came off exaggerated and embarrassing. The characters were flat, dull, and uninteresting. Christina Hendricks by comparison was always charming and sparkly. But she was not enough to overcome this boring movieI I can't remember the last time I saw Kelsey Grammar play such lackluster role.
Pierce Brosnan seemed monotone through most of the movie as well. The house wife was snide and charmless. The brightest note was the bowling scene, relying on sterotypes for humor. The movie was not enjoyable in the least, and I found myself begrudging the time spent.
