Review of I Didn't Come Here to Die (2010) by Jack B — 17 Feb 2013
Not a bad effort at all, a few of the actors are dedicated (though there is the odd OTT performance), the set up is good and the deliver is refreshingly off from expectation. The plot soon unravels as quick as the characters psyche and by the end you are happy it ends when it does.
Yet, when all is said and done, this is an efficient Grindhouse-esque woodland Horror, with superb gore effects work, even if the camera work is a bit too rejigged for its own good. The lashings of Dark Comedy and schizo-Horror helped too, a pleasant surprise.
