Review of I Could Never Be Your Woman (2007) by Navin B — 26 Aug 2008
A solid romantic comedy that got screwed for many years because it was directed by a woman and it wasn't an Oscar winning epic of greatness. True fax. Anyway, there as no reason for this to gross $100 mil OR to sit on a shelf and go straight to DVD three years later.
Standouts are: Saoirse Ronan and her fake songs, the scene where Pfeiffer flips out on a man criticizing some of Hollywood's leading ladies as "hags" and, of course, the charming and weird and very endearing scene where Rudd and Pfeiffer get together, realizing that passion is one thing, but laughter is irreplaceable.
