Review of I Could Never Be Your Woman (2007) by Lupe B — 31 Oct 2008
I adore both Pfeiffer and Rudd so it was with great anticipation I hit "play" on the remote. It was a rather disappionting one and a half hour. Rudd is cute, Pfeiffer is gorgeous, the kid is fun and I did laugh now and then.
.. but no. The subject of this movie still is tabu in many respects and many women struggle with insecruities when dating younger men. It is possible to take your topic serious and still make a great comedy, but Heckerling fails miserable.
By playing it safe, by never ever letting us, the audiance, for one secound doubt Rudd's love for Pfeiffer we wind up with a boring, if yet sweet, love comedy.
