Review of I Could Never Be Your Woman (2007) by Matt D — 03 Jul 2008
If you desperately want to see a film where Henry Winkler teaches the little girl from Atonement how to do his Fonzie 'Heyyy!' right then this is the film for you. Otherwise there are some good gags but a muddled story and several contrasting subplots overshadow this.
I didn't really get the Tracey Ullman character and the film would've worked better without her. Rudd was as reliable as ever as were Lovitz, Willard and Mitchell. Ronan tries to go as far away from Atonement as possible and shares good chemistry with Pfeiffer which made me care more about the relationship between them than between Pfieffer and Rudd which may've been the point I'm not sure.
