Amy Heckerling is the Shizzle!
I was very surprised by this movie. It brought all that Clueless / Fast Times youth-culture authenticity (with that even as a theme of the film), along with parental anxiety and pride, just-plain-getting-old, and hollywood hollywood hollywood.
This was a funny movie. The relationship took some predictable turns, but the cast was highly charged and the mother-daughter relationship was tremendous.
