Review of I Could Go on Singing (1963) by Ralphieboy333 — 30 Sep 2009
Normally I'd give it two stars but it gets three due to the vocal performances. Garland's '63 shows at the London Palladium get a setup plot with this film and the acting is predictable but competent.
When tempted to criticize, I remind myself that Garland forgot more than most people ever learn about the performance art. Her friendship with Bogarde yields a more-than-reliable performance from him as well.
No lip-synching and no videotape on those stages; she walked out and actually did it.
