Review of I Come with the Rain (2009) by Robert S — 23 Oct 2014
Watching this movie was the equivalent of wanting to take a dump with the smallest asshole possible. As soon as I sat down, I just knew this wasn't going to go how I thought it was going to go. And as it went on it became harder and harder to get through as its scope narrowed from a thrilling film noir into a second rate pretentious art film.
This is just lazy directing, all actors and actresses, save for Byung Hun Lee and Josh Hartnett was absolutely atrocious. I have seen many of the actors in other films and found them intriguing, charismatic and amazing, however the terrible directing backed by a pointlessly confusing plot and gratuitous artistic shots make this film almost unwatchable.
Much of the film felt like an excuse for the director to attempt a shot he had stolen from that cam quality David Fincher film he pirated 5 years ago.
2/5 - Save for a few nice looking shots and an intriguing opening scene, this is a shameless attempt at an artistic youtube video.
