Review of I Can Only Imagine (2018) by Samantha L — 30 Mar 2018

I went in unenthusiastic but willing to give it a try. Very good story, emotionally engaging, and great character development, (though done subtly). The nostalgia of the beginning was right on for those 80's and early 90's kids like myself and while the child actors weren't amazing I still loved them. Adult actors were solid across the board and Dennis Quaid I always love.

There were only one or two moments that rang false or fell flat to me and those were only on par or not even as bad as some of the main stream messes I've seen lately.
