Review of I Can Only Imagine (2018) by Richard M — 14 Apr 2018

As I was watching this movie, I was thinking that it's about time a good family movie has shown up. The story is sad, but compelling and the viewer gets caught up in the story about a boy and his abusive father.

The movie builds well till the end and then begins to fall apart mainly because the song "I Can Only Imagine" is not what it was built up to be, but instead a mediocre song with half of the words a repeat of the title phrase.

Also, the ending is anticlimactic and schmaltzy. Nevertheless, I recommend this as a good family movie.
