Definitely not Tyler's best, and that sounds even nicer than I hoped it would. This may be Perry's worst film, the story isn't as good as I was so hoping he would make it. The play was way better than this and if he hadn't incorporated the plays story into his past movies, this might have been better.
The cast was truly magnificent however, Mary J. Blige is an actress, she can handle any role you put in front of her and I wish I had seen her more in this film. Taraji P. Henson surprised me once again with her voice as she did in Hustle and Flow only this time, I fell in love.
Of course the Madea/Joe character never gets old, I love them to death, don't ever change them. Tyler needs to put himself out there as a comedian. He has structure and humor with class. Hopefully he'll make up his film with "Why Did I Get Married Too", which I HOPE lives up to the first one.
