Review of I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House (2016) by Ryan M — 01 Nov 2016
A beautiful, poetic, and immersive ghost story. Not for those looking for cheap thrills and over done pop out scares. Artistic, yet unpretentious, the whole film relies as much on the lyrical narrations as on the visuals themselves, allowing the viewer's own imagination to fill in the most horrific parts of the story.
It deftly captures the feeling of dread and madness, that only feeling truly alone can bring about.
