Disrespectful, offensive and patronizing, I Am Sam is clearly an attempt for Sean Penn to win an Oscar. Whilst I could give credit to Penn for trying to be realistic, the whole movie is manipulative, biased and is more condescending to the mentally-challenged than it is appealing to them.
