Really surprised to see this rated so poorly. This movie poked my emotion buttons over and over; especially watching and relating to it as a daddy and watching Sam's love and dedication for his daughter really moved me.
I'm no Sean Penn fan but I have to tell you his acting blew me away! We got to see some outtakes and such, him going over scenes and they were really intense. I fell in love with little Dakota Fanning, what a cutie pie! And love the renditions of the Beetles songs throughout.
One of the few DVDs we've ever purchased.
