Review of I Am Sam (2001) by Socsy T — 24 Oct 2011
It doesn't matter how many times I see this movie, I still like it and I still end up crying each time. mental disabilities aside, this movie is really a heartwarming story about a father and a daughter whose bond is far stronger than what society dictates to be the right thing.
"everyone can love", so to speak. sean penn throws a powerful performance that should have been a home run for the oscar best actor. dakota fanning was simply exceptional and engaging as lucy.
the music also plays a huge part in the film, giving it more emotion and meaning. I really have nothing bad to say about this film and I don't care what the critics say, this is one film that would always remain close to my heart.
