Review of I Am Omega (2007) by Az D — 12 Feb 2008

This movie was truly shitty! Im a Mark Dacascos fan and dig his low budget action stuff but this was waaay bad. The action was blurry and at best mediocre due to poor choreography, direction and cinematography.

The script was a rehash of I AM LEGEND and OMEGA MAN (hence the cheesy title I AM OMEGA) that had nothing original and became the same ol' B.S. instead of being an interesting action variation of them.

Dacascos tried his acting chops on this one by portraying the grief stricken and lonely possible last man on Earth but what we really want to see is him kicking some zombie ass which there was a lack of.

There were some funny moments of the film not taking itself seriously but they were few and far betweeen to help the film. As cheesy films go, this one gets the stink factor of a year old rotten one! The only thing that could have saved the film is the action but it just sucked! Im sorry to say that only hardcore Dacascos fans will even attempt to see this one and if you are not steer way clear and check out some better ones like CRYING FREEMAN or DRIVE because this one bit the big fat weenie!!!
