Review of I Am Number Four (2011) by Peter N — 07 Oct 2012
I'm just not a fan of these next-gen films that attempt to cater to today's youth. Films like these not only feature high schoolers who look like they're 30 (because they are), but they also feel like they're made by actual high school students.
The plot is derived and unimaginative, making it obvious by the actors' phoned-in performances that there was no inspiration behind this. The conclusion has some impressive special effects, but they're lost on the audience at this point of the film due to its lackluster structure.
It's best just to skip over this one.
