One word for this movie: meh. I adore sci-fi movies with an interesting concept but I Am Number 4 just doesn't have the power or look that can make it interesting and engaging. I will be honest and say I was disappointed with this.
Alex Pettyfer has the look but not the talent to back it up. The teen angst style romance between 4 and Sarah is so dry and unbelievable, I just did not buy the forced love between them. You know I recall one movie that pulled off what IAN4 was trying to pull off.
JUMPER. JUMPER of all movies did better then this! Not much else to say but skip this. The trailer for this at least gave the action when it was needed because things in the movie do not even pick up until the third act and even then, it is not anything spectacular.
Skip this and wait for the sequel, which I am assuming is going to be better then this. 4/10.
