An enjoyable movie that keeps the viewer entertained with a mix of humor, action, and suspense. Is it a weighty and penetrating exploration of the human condition? No, thank goodness. It does exactly what it's supposed to do: entertain and allow you to escape for ninety minutes.
If you're training to be a film critic, feel free to skip this; I'm sure you'll be able to find a movie somewhere about sad people sitting in a cafe, talking. For the rest of us, "I Am Number Four" gets a solid recommendation.
