Review of I Am Love (2010) by Jason Y — 17 Jul 2010
Tilda Swinton went way outside of an actor's safe zone, serving as the emotive centerpiece of this beautifully shot, compelling tragedy which left me wanting more. Deeply layered, thoughtfully premeditated, intelligent, and unfiltered -- this Italian film showcases a radically different way to approach storytelling, which ultimately paid off with a stylish narrative punch.
The main love scene is among the best I've seen filmed. Bellissimo! Watch for Swinton again, come Oscar season.
