Review of I Am Love (2010) by Christina D — 17 Feb 2011
Wow. Absolutely brilliant. My first Italian film but most likely my favorite foreign film by far.
I didn't know what to expect in the beginning of the film and what it turns out to be is worth the subtitles. I found myself as if in a dream surrounded by warmth and sunshine. The feeling you get when you're deep into a novel on a sunny day with nothing else around but the characters you read.
I don't want to give anything away but there are some very erotic scenes, yet the way the scenery and nature became part of the passion is seamless.
The ending moments are intense with very few spoken words. My heart is racing from the beauty of the music intertwined with the emotions of the last few scenes.
Definitely recommended to romantics at heart.
