Review of I Am Legend (2007) by Cristopher F — 06 May 2013
Amazing, thrilling, and emotional. What's missing? A message. Through the adrenaline fueled action sequences (where I learned that the stake n' garlic vampires of the book had been scrapped for mutants), I failed to see the lesson about normalcy, and fear.
While I waited, my hopes were cut short by a hastily thrown together scene where he is humanities legend. I later found that that was in fact a newer scene, written for more excitement. In short, it's a great movie, but I suggest watching the alternate (original) ending version, rather than the disappointing theatrical one.
