I guess I just don't like Will Smith as much as the next guy. This film seems to gradually run itself off the rails; major plot points do not stand up to any scrutiny in this film. Also, the monsters look so terrible it's distracting.

Finally, the film cuts all of the best, most interesting plot points from the original story replacing them with generic Hollywood filler. Tremendously overhyped and overrated.
