Review of I Am Legend (2007) by Sean D — 10 Mar 2016
If only there wasn't CGI. Everything seemed quite perfect about this film and was going well. Was this the only way to make a zombie film that wasn't graphic in nature, was to make the zombies CGI?
I don't know, but it pissed me off about the film and is really the only thing that I didn't like about it. Oh yeah and the fact that the very beginning I guess is supposed to lead into the explanation of the creation of the Apocalypse but doesn't explain anything much really. Thr progression of the plot is nice with flashbacks to days leading up to the end of the world, we get a nice hint of how he loses his family and it's very unexpected.
The score is nice, as to be expected with a film like this. Character development is excellent as Will is slowly more and more falling apart and losing his grasp on reality. Overall, great film and I enjoy post-apocalyptic films, this just seemed like New York's take on the zombie Apocalypse.
