Review of I Am Legend (2007) by Gabe C — 23 Nov 2013
Will Smith stars in a post apocalyptic world that he is the last man in New York City and possibly the last in the world. How does the Fresh Prince of Bel Air do on his own?
I Am Legend. The film begins with a news reel that gives us the story on how it all began. It cuts the black and shows New York 3 years later after that news reel and it looks horrible. Plants are growing through the streets and even Deer are running around even being chases by Smith and his companion Sam, the German Sheppard. Along the way we see Smith get flashbacks showing kinda what happened before all of this and how the evacuation of New York happened and his family.
The film itself is fine, I enjoy it a lot and it's short so it does fly by rather quick. You do grow a connection to Smiths character and Sam because well, those are the only two in the movie. Oh besides the zombie vampire creatures who try to kill Smith of course.
Fun movie, really feel them and want them to find a cure and to end all this madness. I can watch it any time and any day and I'll still enjoy the crap out of if just like I did when I first saw it back in 2007.
