Review of Hyde Park on Hudson (2012) by Ricardo S — 07 Dec 2012

Fluffly and very awkward, but it was quite funny. Olivia Colman (Queen) and Olivia Williams (Eleanor) were standouts. Bill Murray was sadly forgettable. Laura Linney personified awkwardness, but didn't have a climax moment that was necessary to make her performance truly memorable.

And there was barely any chemistry between Murray and Linney. Perhaps that is because the movie was a mere hour and a half. In no way was this a masterpiece, but in terms of humor and sarcasm, the film did a good job.

I'd be quite surprised to see the movie garner awards nominations.
