Review of Hyde Park on Hudson (2012) by Giovanna T — 28 Apr 2013
The middle part of the film that involves the King & Queen of England coming to beg FDR for assistance (and thus finally burying whatever hatchet between the two countries lingered) wasn't really that bad and well played, but the surrounding material of Daisy and her love affair with her fifth cousin FDR is so unbelievably awful that the movie is dealt an excruciatingly mortal blow from which it cannot recover.
And what's with the Joe Hisashi-esque score, which is completely out of place in this kind of movie?
