Don't watch this film (or any film) with the goal of condoning or condemning the lifestyle choices of the characters. Terrence Howard is utterly convincing as a pimp in the South with dreams of making it in music.
Even pimps and hos have hopes and aspirations. They may not be your own, but this film makes you want these characters to succeed.
