I agree with John W. This is the best movie in years about the American underclass and the authencity of hip hop that captures that reality. The NYT, Village Voice and LA times are wrong; I am an educated latina professional and I was not insulted by this film.
It revealed the humanity behind the sterotypes of pimps and prostitutes. In a fair world, it would have gotten more attention.
