Review of Hush (2016) by Drewsreviews — 12 May 2016
This movie is basically a stereotypical horror film based on **** with disabled/deaf people. Acting is stale, pacing is VERY slow. You see, instead of using decent actors, they hired **** actors that don't really have to act because they try to speak in really bad sign language. The characters consist of: Girl victim, friend of girl, other friends that really don't matter, **** killer, and man. There are a lot of minor details that break the plot like: why did she not see the man out of her peripheral vision or why doesn't she call 911 even if she can't technically speak to them?
The killer is extremely stupid for many reasons in which I will not spoil. There's this one scene where she analyzes what she's supposed to do and she basically speaks to herself from a third person. It's actually a pretty nice touch. If it was used a lot more in the movie then all the filler would of been a lot better and would even give the main character a lot more depth than just "deaf girl". Otherwise, it's just a better knock-off of "The strangers". If you like watching a game of hide and go find the disabled person then this movie is probably for you.
