Review of Hush (2016) by Luis G — 25 Sep 2017
PROS: Once the movie gets going, you'll feel tense until the end. The fact that the protagonist is deaf and mute was an interesting wrinkle on the home invasion genre and made her (and the viewer) feel more vulnerable. It was an interesting choice to have the killer outside the house terrorizing the protagonist nearly the entire movie rather than having him break in right away.
CONS: It's not as scary as it could have been. The French home-invasion film "Inside" did a better job of terrifying me. The bad guy was a good actor, but he just didn't look the part. He looked more like a Little League baseball coach than a psychotic killer.
