Review of Husbands and Wives (1992) by Tor M — 02 Oct 2018
Semi-old Woody flick and a typical one. For me it does not show the best features from the director. It's not especially funny, it's not exciting, it's not tragic or thrilling. It's (probably) giving a very genuine view of marriage as the issues and people involved seem very true. Probably a great film to see for couples that have been dating for ten plus years. Loads of situations to discuss and argue about here. Loads of talking here and the known actors are good ones. That's a must here,.
It works all right - but it lacks a punch for me, it also feels a bit dated. I like the documentary touch, I like the characters and the great and sinister fights here, but I miss some entertainment.
4.5 out of 10 thunder storms.
