Review of Husbands and Wives (1992) by Darrell B — 03 Apr 2010
A movie that takes place completely inside of Woody's world, a place that as I grow older bears less and less of a similarily to the real world, but one that feels comforting to return to, like an old pair of shoes or something.
This one has the usual insights into human relationships and the absurdity and tragedy therein. Again, well worn territory for Woody, but this one is set apart by the wonderful Cassavettes style camerawork.
