Review of Hunter Killer (2018) by Adrien B — 26 Oct 2018
Ok so that guy from London and Olympus has fallen is back again but this time, he doesn't really have much to do in being bad ass and that is probably why this film suffered. The submarine scenes are pretty cool and most done with obvious CG, not that great but still not that bad either.
The plot is a rescue mission and revenge that manages to have 2 different scenarios going on at the same time. Some parts were boring and that is where the movie suffers the most. The last 30 minutes is great with a battle that sort of takes a turn and doesn't really turn out to be a battle at all and sort of a one sided fight.
They need to do more of these kind of movies and now a days, I think it sort of died out. This was no where as good as my favorite 2 submarine films, those being DAS Boot and U571. Enjoyable once, but with that stupid title screen at the end AGAIN, it ain't worth watching twice.
