Review of Hunt for the Wilderpeople (2016) by Laurie R — 14 Apr 2016

Absolutely loved it! Incredibly funny and a really decent story. This is the kind of movie where if I had been watching it at home I would've been stopping to re-watch funny bits every few seconds as a lot of the jokes I honestly can't remember what happened at all to re-tell, but I know they were there.

It was beautifully shot, the New Zealand landscapes were gorgeous (even though watching it I could obviously tell when they were in the North Island and the South Island, so they clearly didn't walk there) and, as I've already said it was really funny.

The only thing that would prevent this movie from getting a perfect score in my book was the plot - I mean it WAS really clear to follow, nice, good character development but once it was over that was it; You know the outcome and there's nothing about it that would make you want to watch the film again in a few months time - but the jokes however were and that's why it gets a decently high score from me.
