Hunt for the Wilderpeople was different to most films that you see nowadays. It was heartfelt while also managing to apply some fantastic humour sprinkled throughout. Sam Neil gives one of the best performances of his career, up there with Jurassic Park, and the young lad Julian Dennison and as fantastic considering his little experience in films.
His character was fantastic because as you learnt more about him, you were able to understand him and therefore like him more.
