An excellent portrait of two friends that starts to spin its wheels too soon and for too long. Duplass and Leonard have some fine chemistry together, and Shelton is able to highlight their performances in the most flattering way. You really feel these guys' friendship.
Alongside a similar scene from The Hurt Locker there's an interesting element of "one-up man-ship" going on here that comes to the surface during a basketball game.
