Mercifully free of the homophobic cheap shots you might expect given the premise, Humpday is also sadly free of any big laughs. Two straight male friends making a gay porno together in the name of art may sound like a daft idea, but I guess people have done dafter things. The characters are well limned and there are entertaining moments, most involving the wife of the more conservative pal, but the comic climax is a fizzer.
Low budget, murky look won't win any fans either.
