Review of Humboldt County (2008) by Travis T — 21 Sep 2008
As someone from the Regan "Just say No" generation I aprechiated that they did not push the drug angle in the movie. They showed the people of Humboldt County as living off of the land and off of the "grid".
Pot was for their own use and to support the simples needs of life. There are rich charaters in the film which made it good. In Seattle it will be only playing at the Varsity on the opening weekend unless lots of people see it and they get another weekend.
I should point out that as a Mark Cuban film you could also do on demand the same opening weekend but everyone knows a theatre is better!
